"Stunning"

Fine details matter, there's not a curve out of place or a part that doesn't belong. The grill that wraps from the top right down to the bottom face looks awesome. So much room inside and the built in fans are quiet and do a great job.

"More than a black box"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

PC’s used to be beige boxes, then black became the new beige, I seem to be surrounded by black, my keyboard, speakers, monitor bezel, mouse, mouse pad, headset – they are all black – so when I proudly showed this case to my wife she said “Oh, another black box.” I looked down at the stylish green trim with matching green hard-drive cages and back plates and the way the top of the PC curves down in a way that reminds me of well curvy things and thought – I wonder if my Noctua D-14 air-cooler is going to fit in there-

So – after thanking my wife profusely for her boundless enthusiasm at supporting my manly nerdish projects I began dismantling my old PC and moving parts over. So how did that go… well I have a micro atx board so no issues in getting it in – there are limited instructions in how to set up the motherboard base posts for both a micro and a full atx board.

There are plenty of cable holes and all are fitted with rubber grommets so keeping the board tidy of cables was pretty good. Between the back of the motherboard plate and the side plate there isn't a lot of room so it’s better to get your molex connectors to lie flat rather than just stuff the side on.

The front fan is a stock 200mm and seems to push the air around ok – I removed the SSD cages to increase the airflow and put my SSD on the back of the motherboard – included in your screws are some rubber… things… don’t know what they are called but they look like washers and you screw them onto your SSD and it just slides nicely into some slots behind the motherboard.

There were a number of anti-vibration rubber washers that can be used for fans – I counted 12 of them and used them all – placed 2 140mm fans on top for extraction and a 120mm down on the base for intake air.

Didn't need to worry about the width of the case my stonking big Noctua fitted in with room to spare. With the airflow I have set up temperatures are reasonable in the case – I just checked HWMonitor – it’s not a hot day and my internals are running at 28°C, CPU at idle 11°C – when things are hot then the case goes up by 5 or 6 degrees – however with some airflow the case seems to keep things running well

I suspect because this is a side window case it is likely more suitable for radiator cooling – as unless you put in the fan at the base you don’t have anything else to really push all the GPU heat up – as in you can’t put in side fans.

The side window looks nice though – however it is not very strong, at least it wasn't designed to be put out of the way on your chair and then forgotten about and sat on – thank goodness it was easily fixed, it’s so thin I bent it back in shape with my fingers – however I suggest you don’t try stress testing it :)

I've opened up this case multiple times since my build – mainly to swap fans around and getting in and out is painless – it’s very easy to open it up, remove the top and the front has little clips that you squeeze from inside to get it off.

Even though this case isn't glossy white – I love how it's easy to work with and easy to look at – well done Cooler Master and thanks Mighty Ape for giving me a good price on this.
