Playing in the woods, Connie and Patch meet a flower who is very sad because his roots are dry. They decide to help him, and go to fetch him some water from the beaver’s dam. But the beaver won’t let them have any: he says that if he does, his dam will soon be empty…
THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER
Crick is a lively little cricket who only wants to have fun. Meanwhile, his friend Tom the ant spends his days filling the storerooms of his nest with food. But when winter arrives, Crick can’t find any food. Connie helps convince the ants to share some of their food with the grasshopper.
CONNIE AND THE TIN CAN
Connie and Patch find an empty tin can in the woods. They think it could be dangerous for the animals in the woods, and decide to get rid of it. But this turns out to be harder than they thought. They find out that if they want to keep the woods clean, they can’t just throw things away.

Connie and Patch are walking through the woods, when Patch slips on a pile of cherry stones. Grouch and Wally have been eating fruit, and carelessly left the remains lying around. The four friends decide to find a better use for the pips and stones that are left over.

Connie’s grandma Clara sets Connie and Patch a challenge: to find a mountain that talks. Patch and Connie must travel a long way to find the mysterious mountain.
THE SECRET DEN
It’s a rainy day, and Connie can’t go out to play in the woods. When the rain stops, she gets her friends together to build a shelter next to a tree, where they can all meet up. Her friends all have something they can contribute to the secret den.
BURT WANTS TO PLAY
Burt the bat can never play with his friends because he can only go out into the woods at night. Connie tries think of a way to solve Burt’s problem, so he can come out and play with his friends.
HONEY FOR MUMMY!
Connie’s mummy is baking a cake, and she needs some honey. Connie sets out to find some, but she doesn’t know where to look for it. She needs her friends’ help to find the bees, who make the most delicious honey.
IT’S GOING TO RAIN
After a heavy storm, Connie meets a butterfly whose wings are soaked through. Every time it rains, the butterfly gets very wet. Connie and her friends teach the butterfly to look at the sky so he can tell when it’s going to rain.
