"Commando Has His Day" is first in series of children's' books and inspired by a young family friend named Michael. This is a story of Michael becoming a responsible care-taker of his family home-raised chicken farm. He discovers life lessons in being responsible for something or someone different from himself. It is a story of going from fear and lack of concern to discovering value in living beings. Michael demonstrated courage, responsibility and dedication through his new business venture and learns that dislike can change into respect and appreciation of others -- even a large, aggressive Rhode Island Rooster named Commando.
