The Comancheros is an old-style Hollywood western where the good guys, take on the 'filthy good-for-nothin murderin' Injuns'  who have had the sheer audacity to attempt the taking back of their own land. The red-skins are being aided in their cause by a band of "lower than a rattlesnake" white trash, the Comancheros, who are selling weapons and whiskey to the Indians.

The underpaid yet incorruptible Texas Rangers, are aware of the gun-running but are unable to discover the whereabouts of the secret Comanchero base. A breakthrough comes with the capture of a gun-runner. Texas Ranger, Jake Cutter (John Wayne), goes undercover in an attempt to unmask the bad guys and reveal the location of the hidden rebel base. With the aid of the scoundrel Paul Regret (Stuart Whitman). The Ranger exposes the no-good villains and saves the day - for the valiant, wholesome white settlers that is.
