Author Biography

Alan Bissett is the author of four novels, Boyracers (2001), written and published when he was in his early twenties, The Incredible Adam Spark (2005), Death of a Ladies Man (2009) and Pack Men (2011). He is a prolific playwright, and his theatre work, in which he often also stars, has been nominated for a number of awards. In 2009 his script for the short film The Shutdown, directed by Adam Stafford, was shown at festivals worldwide and nominated for a number awards. In 2011 he won the Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Scottish Writer of the Year. He lives in Glasgow.
