"Not bad to play through "
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is not great but its not terrible. I bought it in the daily deals and it was worth what I paid for. The storyline is quite unique such as the ability to switch between characters being explained within the story. Jericho is of a medium difficulty and the 1000 gamer score can be gotten without to much trouble. If you like FPSs, have nothing else to play and this game is on special I would recommend buying it.

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I purchased a bargin basement copy (I think for 15 bucks) so I wasn't expecting much and hey, guess what? I wasn't disappointed. It really is quite an awful game.

The premise is good and could have turned out to be a great story but at the end of the day, the game was just too dark (visually), the environments were dull and never really changed and the encounters with enemy were extremely repetitive. " ya kill one bad guy, you've killed them all."

Team member AI is non existent so don't even go there. The one thing jericho did have going for it was that the bad guys looked pretty cool, but they were hardly a challenge to despatch and the weapons issued to all the characters lacklustre and insipid. I managed almost 3 hours of gameplay in the vague hope that things would improve… they did not.

As far as dark, creepy 1st person shooters go, you'd be better off retro-gaming on Doom 3.

"Good for price."

Purchased on Mighty Ape

For a $12 game I wasn't disappointed. If only this game had multiplayer, it is kind of like left for dead except there is more variety between the characters. The AI is pretty terrible on hard mode (havn't played the others so can't comment) maybe they wouldn't die so easily on normal or easy, they run headfirst topspeed to their deaths. You do have a bit of control over them though, but its annoying having to tell them to hold position while you scout foward untill you hit the enemy spawn trigger, then run back to them.

Not bad for an under $20 game, could have been amazing if it had multiplayer.

"Don't Bother" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Mighty Ape, if you have excess stock of this game, I am terribly sorry because this review is not going to help you rid yourself of this product. Honestly, I got this game for $10. Thanks mighty ape because that was a real steal. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the game wasn't worth the Disc it was printed on. The voice acting is terrible. I'm an actor and I am very critical of this particular facet of the game. It doesn't match, which is a clear indication that the actors were not present in the recording room at the same time, they were just saying whatever their lines were and hoping that it matched the same pitch and intensity of the other actor, who might have recorded his session 6 months later, and certainly sounds like it. The graphics are pants, for those that don't understand ‘pants’, the graphics are pies, for those that don't understand ‘pies’, I can't go any further without the use of profanity. But safe to say the graphics are @#$%@$$^%. No, they aren't that bad, but by today's standards they certainly are very disappointing. The gameplay??? I don't know, because I turned it off after the first level and threw the game on trademe. If anyone is interested in an even cheaper version of this game you now know where to look.

"Good Value for Money"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I wasn't expecting too much as the game was so cheap but I like fps games and this one took my fancy. It's a pity others don't think to highly of this game. It would of been better multiplayer.

"Its Clive Barker but the game is confused."
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Im a fa of both horror gaming and Clive Barker story telling but this game dosent satisfy on either front. The attempted fusion of fps + squad based combat + story driven game play dosent jell and the characters just come off looking like natzi fetish …persons.

Its a shame, I wanted it to be good, allot Great price thought mighty ape, cheers.

This is the U.S version of Jericho, which is region free and will play on your PAL Xbox 360.

Created from an original concept and story, Clive Barker's Jericho promises an overload of sensory horror shock as players journey through hellish locations and slices of time. A squad-based horror FPS, the Jericho of the title refers to the Jericho Team, a seven-man strike force that protects government interests from paranormal threats. Trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, each Jericho Team member is an expert in different para-psychological disciplines, including clairvoyance, alchemy, blood magic and exorcism.

Clive Barker's Jericho leads the Jericho Team toward a source of ancient evil so supremely powerful that it has broken through time into our world and is threatening to engulf the Earth. At ground zero lies the Middle Eastern city of Al-Khali, the site of a huge, secret archaeological dig and paranormal research centre, now the heart of a dimensional rift.

Players must navigate Al Khali's labyrinthine of streets, alleys and structures, moving block by block in search of the rift. As the squad approaches the target, the city now crawling with hellish denizens emerging from the source, the team is forced to rely less and less on traditional weapons and instead on harnessing their combined psychic abilities to defeat the supernatural nemesis no matter how horrific their looks or attacks may be.
