This text is designed to help teachers deliver the statutory criteria for citizenship through existing teaching programmes. It gives a full citizenship programme for Key Stages 3 and 4 without the need for special citizenship lessons and includes checklists, assessment methods at Key Stage 3 (the only compulsary assessment in citizenship), activity and assembly ideas, and lesson plans for delivering individual citizenship criterion in subjects such as English, maths, ICT, geography, history and RE.
