In this camp there was a set of rules; for example, all the boys must be in bed and quiet by a certain time every night; there must be no noisy games and loud talking on Sunday; no one was to stay in swimming more than an hour, and there were other rules of this kind. The boys complained that the rules were too strict. So an experiment was made. It was agreed that for one week every boy should be allowed to do exactly as he pleased. But every time a boy felt that his rights were interfered with in any way, a report of the case was to be made in writing.
