Description

In 1982, young cop Tom Stevenson is accepted onto the Vice Squad based in Newcastle upon Tyne and discovers a new seedy side of life. From the outset, he has to deal with snake tattooed flashers, massage parlours, public toilets used for sexual activity, whipped husbands needing excuses for their wives and other weird and shocking events. However, the unique humour and camaraderie of his colleagues on the squad help Tom to cope with the perverts and disgusting activities he encounters. Sometime later, a young, gay boy is murdered in a local park, and Tom receives certain information that eventually points to the identification of a suspect. Tom arrests a person he believes is responsible for the killing but his superior officer isn't happy at all. Who killed the boy? Was it the person who Tom arrested? Why is Tom in trouble? Will anyone give a damn in six months time?
