Excerpt from Chicago Medical Review, Vol. 5: May 1, 1882 Sterility IN bovine twins. - Ih has been observed (atlanta Medical Register) that when one of the twins is male and the other female, the latter is always sterile; there being a malformation of the genera tive organs. The question has been asked, whether the same condition of affairs has been noted in the human race, under similar conditions. The therapeutical editor of the Review can answer this question in the negative so far as his experience goes. For the three such cases of which he has cog nizance are all fertile, but of the possibility of a human being a free martin, as this class of beings is called, there would seem to be but little doubt.
