Description

Charles Manson is possibly America's "favourite boogeyman". A life of crime and misadventure throughout his life culminated in the now infamous "Tate-La Bianca case" in 1970/71. Sociologists believe that the heady days of the 1960s were at its zenith in 1969 when one man and one image brought the psychedelic era to its knees. Both the press and public continue to have a boundless fascination with this ageing sociopath, his image and that of "The Family" are now part of America's "pop culture". This documentary traces his life up to the late 1980s and features rare footage and interviews with Manson.
