This was brand new, and had not been opened previously but it has already had a hard life. Several pieces were almost snapped in half and in a very fragile state, some pieces were coming apart/splitting apart. Only found this out as I started to put it together. Not the usual standard for Ravensburger Puzzle, and very disappointed. EDIT: Mighty Ape sent me a replacement that is in very good condition. Very happy with the service. Updated the stars to 5 because of this.
