Description

The book considers the practicalities of celebrating the liturgical year from the point of view of the liturgical president and other liturgical ministers (e.g. the deacon at the Easter Vigil), and with particular reference to "Common Worship Times and Seasons" material, while not neglecting material from the wider Western tradition where appropriate. It assumes the same theological approach as "Alcuin Liturgy Guide 3" and gives indications for further reading and resources.

Author Biography

Ben Gordon-Taylor lectures and teaches theology and liturgy at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. Simon Jones is Chaplain and Fellow of Merton College, Oxford. They have previously written Celebrating the Eucharist and The Use of Symbols in Worship (with Chris Irvine).
