The Caveman Diet is quite simply a diet that involves eating as a caveman would. This means focusing on high protein foods such as lean cuts of meats and nuts. In addition, the diet is a high-fiber diet with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables. The meat, fruits, and vegetables work to keep you full and satisfied. Processed foods are not allowed, but in the beginning stages of the diet an occasional “off plan” meal is acceptable as the adjustment is made. Because this diet restricts processed foods, keeping a journal is a great way to keep you on track and eating the high in fiber and high in protein foods needed to keep you satisfied.
