Description

Caught by a Cat [Not a Childrens' Book] is a police procedural with more twists than a politician's campaign promises, as two detectives figure out how to nail the crooks they know are guilty, even as the guilty parties themselves become victims. Though the author, Tim Kern, has been published hundreds of times, this is his first full-length novel.

Author Biography:

Tim Kern has long been known as a business writer and aviation writer, with bylined work in over fifty aviation magazines, worldwide. He has been a CEO, a CFO, a large-company regional manager, an, international financial analyst, and an entrepreneur. Kern is the only journalist to have earned CAM Certification (Certified Aviation Manager) through the NBAA and is the only journalist to have completed the ALEA (Airborne Law Enforcement Association) Accident Investigation course. Kern earned a pilot's license in the early 1990s. He also earned an MBA in several disciplines from Northwestern University. His first nonfiction book, The Executive Primer, was serialized in SUCCESS Magazine for over three years. The Manual by Eduardo (written as the mysterious Eduardo) has become a popular how-to survival pamphlet, with thousands sold and copied; and The Americans' Fight to Survive, written with principal author GySgt Red Smith, sold out four printings as the ultimate Y2K Survival Guide and was reviewed as ...basically a manual on urban guerilla warfare. Recently, he has written political/economic analyses and branched into travel writing, specializing in the popular tourist spots in the Caribbean. He has also traveled to several countries in Europe, and Abu Dhabi, and has lived in ten states, setting foot in all but Hawaii. He taught economics for fifteen years, raced motorcycles and cars, and was a full-time mechanic on a Can-Am Championship-winning race team; and he was a race car driving instructor. He maintains a vigorous writing career in aviation, travel, and politics. He lives in the Midwest. None of that prepared him in any particular way to be a novelist. Caught by a Cat is his first novel.
