What began with a small set of unique handmade brushes found by French design consultant Daniel Rozensztroch and writer and collector Shiri Slavin quickly escalated into an obsession. The result is a visual compendium of more than two hundred colour photographs capturing the seemingly endless variations of a useful, common tool - the brush. This delightful book is a must-have for everyone interested in design, folk art and collecting. It will accompany an exhibition at the Bibliotheque Forney in Paris opening in February of 2006.
Daniel Rozensztroch, design consultant and creative director of Marie Claire Maison, is also the author of Hangers/Cintres and the co-author with Suzanne Slesin and Stafford Cliff of the series, Everyday Things. Shiri Slavin, a Paris-based stylist, is a photojournalist for the magazine View. She has also created baby lou, a line of baby products.
