Honestly works on most surfaces, IÂ have a glass desk with 2, 27inch wide monitors with no issues.
Does the job even with my heavier 24" G-Sync monitors which IÂ thought might have troubles holding.
Make sure you have a little bit of room up against a wall if you want to prop the two monitors together as the arms go back slightly for the monitors to flush up against each other.
