After hitting us with her diamond-hard sophomore single “Set It Off” last year, New Zealand's JessB has brought us the P-Money produced “Take It Down”, a dancehall groove which is set to launch her upcoming EP – out 13 March. The EP features a number of collaborations, with features from Melodownz, Rubi Du and Phodiso, while renowned producer P-Money has a hand in producing, mixing and engineering a number of the tracks on the EP.
Accumulating over 400,000 streams on Spotify already, she’s also stamped her mark on the airwaves, receiving spins across all major urban, dance and tastemaker stations including Mai FM, Flava FM, George FM and bFM. JessB opened for Stormzy’s 2 NZ shows, and has played Aotearoa’s biggest festivals – Rhythm & Vines, Northern Bass and Soundsplash and Auckland City Limits. Continuing to break new ground – she is the first female MC to perform on David Dallas’s ’64 bars’ – a RedBull backed project whereby MC’s are invited to take the mic and freestyle over a fresh beat. “She came in and handled it first take. She’s got a vibe, and she’s super confident” says Dallas.
