The Materia Medica part of the book was compiled by William Boericke and includes descriptions of more than 1,000 remedies. Although the polychrests are dealt with in greater detail elsewhere, many of the other remedies in this book can only be found in larger works such as Clark's "Dictionary" and Vermuelen's works.
