Blitzkrieg 2 holds a special place in my strategy gaming collection. It was the first game in which I saw action, superb graphics and in-depth strategy married so easily.

Despite the quick action oriented gameplay, strategy lovers are also catered for with each mission achievable in differing ways via the great idea of custom force creation. If you want to charge the trenches with bayonet armed soldiers, Drive over them with a flood of light tanks… or bomb them into the stone age with massed artillery, you can.
The graphics now show their age when compared with the likes of Company of Heroes and other latest gen strategy, but for the price it is a suberp purchase.
