BlazBlue offers some extremely complex mechanics mixed with a strange button layout that offers long time fans plenty to learn. That said, the game provides an extensive training mode that allows newcomers to understand the fundamentals and mess around with friends. It also offers a large single player experience through story mode, arcade mode etc. A must have for any fighting game fan.
A great fighting game with a solid combat system that is as accessible to newbies as it is to veterans of the series. Having played Calamity Trigger but missing Continuum Shift I found extensive research into the later necessary as clearly a lot happened in the 2nd game, but all info needed to catch up is conveniently located in game and in a few different formats too, while there is a lot of information to take in (and I mean A LOT) it was worth the reading to be engrossed in the Blazblue story once again. Story mode is a little slow to start as in really sets the scene and context for all characters but once it gets going it really gets going and you'll find yourself eager too see what happens next as the hours tick by. Highly recommend this game.
BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend PS4 will introduce two new characters, Celica and Lambda, bringing the roster list to 28 playable characters. Perform flashy fighting moves with the Drive Button system and players can now determine when to attack/block using the Barrier Gauge meter. Check out “Remix Heart”, a new story mode featuring two characters, Mai Natsume and Kajun Faycott.
