"I found this game exciting and a good challenge"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I was not sure what to expect with this game, due to it originaly destine for the old Xbox. however I was very supprised with the detail in combat! with a large varriaty of upgrades and a range of weapons as well as the vast options in strategy I found myself in complete battle mode as I made my way to numerous suppreme victorys!

"Deceptively addictive"
4 stars"

When I first started playing this game I thought to myself, “this game is far too repetitive” and to be honest it is really repetitive. But the story progresses quite nicely and although the combat is ridiculously simple, its a really addictive game once you give it a couple hours.

Games I would compare it to would be the old Kingdom Under Fire games (not the new one on 360) and mix that up with the Dynasty Warriors games. I have just completed this game and clocked up just over 42 hours and I'm still going as there seems to be tonnes to do after game completion which is fantastic.

Heaps of unit types to recruit under your command, but be aware that you only control 1 unit at a time and not the entire army. Great game once given the chance.

"All I can say is 'Interesting'"
3 stars"

First of all I thought this game is like a Euro version of Dynasty warrior where you can control your character and whack everything in sight…NOT! You are merc and you can't really do much by yourself. You need to control other squad then order them to do your dirty work. Koei is no 1 when it comes to Hack&slash kind of game where 1 man can destroy the whole army. But they take such essence out of this game, so I'm not really sure how to class this game. It a tactical hack&slash kind of game??

BLADESTORM: THE HUNDRED YEARS’ WAR puts gamers in the role of a rogue commander and gives them direct control of mercenary units in fierce clashes with English and French forces. The game’s unique style of action thrusts players into dynamic and ever-changing conflicts. Players must adjust their strategies as skirmishes evolve, and then deploy the unit best-suited to handle the challenge. At a player’s command is a broad array of troops including infantry, archers, and cavalry, as well as a variety of specialized units such as elephant units, cannoniers, and castle siege specialists. While each unit is comprised of autonomous soldiers, each warrior will contribute to the assigned objective.
