Author Biography

Abraham Tesser was research Professor of Psychology at theUniversity of Georgia while editing this volume. He has editedseveral books and published a number of articles on communication, attitudes, thought processes, and self-evaluation maintenance. Heis currently Visiting Professor of Psychology at The Ohio StateUniversity. Norbert Schwarz is Professor of Psychology at theUniversity of Michigan and Senior Research Scientist at Michigan'sInstitute for Social Research. He has published numerous articles, chapters, and books on human judgement, including Cognition andCommunication: Judgmental Biases, Research Methods and the Logic ofConversation (1995).
