Description

A PRINCESS OF MARS--DETHRONED! Eldest child of her world's ruling dynasty, Aria is also the daughter of the evil Black Sorcerer--one of the dreaded First Men of Mars--and has been imbued with his sorcerous might. Rebelling against her father's tyranny, Princess Aria has joined forces with a human soldier and a savage Mock-Man, and now dares to challenge the First Men's rule. Will Aria's power be enough to tip the balance in John Blackthorn's favor, and free her world--or will she betray the rebels to her father--or worse--and bring all they have fought for crashing down? BLACKTHORN: DYNASTY OF MARS, by award-winning author I. A. Watson (Robin Hood; Sherlock Holmes) and with a spectacular cover painted by Adam Diller, takes the saga of John Blackthorn and his brave companions to the next level--and beyond--with a grand adventure stretching down the centuries and across the war-torn face of post-apocalyptic Mars!

Author Biography:

On I.A Watson's library mantelpiece there's a trophy for Best Pulp Short Story from the Pulp Factory Awards. It journeyed to Yorkshire, England from the "Ian can't be with us here tonight..." ceremony in Chicago, America and it arrived in pieces. There's one bit still missing, perhaps because that's the part that looks like a gold nib and a customs inspector might have thought was (a) valuable or (b) a terrorist weapon. But there the award stands, battered but unbowed, surrounded by thousands of beloved books and a few actually written by the library's award-winning owner; who is also battered but mostly unbowed, and who still thankfully has all his bits. So, I.A.Watson is author of a Robin Hood trilogy: King of Sherwood, Arrow of Justice, and the soon-to-be-released Freedom's Outlaw. He's been a contributor to all three Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective anthologies. His stories have appeared in Gideon Cain: Demon Hunter, The New Adventures of Richard Knight, Blood-Price of the Missionary's Gold, Sentinels: Alternate Visions, Sinbad: The New Adventures, and of course Blackthorn: Thunder on Mars, which is what got him into this mess of having to write an "About the Author" piece here in the first place. All the rest and a scary photo are on his website at: http: //www.chillwater.org.uk/writing/iawatsonhome.htm
