Description

The Rock band Black Velvet, are living the dream. Five musically talented childhood friends from a small Scottish town, they are catapulted to international stardom under the direction of their controlling manager Tony Gorman. The band members are contemplating their future, only vocalist Vickie D'Angelo feels any loyalty towards their management. Vickie's artist husband Billy, and the other band members want to end their association with Tony Gorman. Barely out of their teens the band have the world at their feet, beautiful talented singer Vickie, brothers Johnny and Chris Vincent, Andy Cowan and Jamie Connolly are household names. A tragedy occurs, leaving their lives in tatters around them. As they try to support each other in the aftermath, they are in danger of using sex, alcohol, and drugs to excess in attempts to mask the pain they feel. When Vickie discovers she is pregnant, the group try to see this as a positive after their darkest hour. With the support of their close friends, family and their entourage, the band work together to move forward. But as they begin to recover, Vickie becomes desperately ill and secrets emerge which threaten to divide the band and destroy the close long term friendships within the group.
