Description

"Grandpa!" "Is that green thing down on the sidelines the GREEN Monstah?" "No." Grandpa chuckles as he shakes his head. "New Englanders call that big green wall in left field the Green Monstah. That green thing on the sidelines is the team mascot. He is called Wally, and he lives in the Green Monstah." "Grandpa!" "Why do they call the wall a monstah?" "Well... if you are a pitcher, the wall feels like it is pressing down on you and a lot of high fly balls - ones that would be an out in another baseball park - end up as a home run. If you are a batter, a line drive hit that would be a home run in another park could end up as a single. The Monstah can turn outs into home runs and home runs into singles." "So, there is nothing to really be scared of, Grandpa?" "No." Grandpa laughs, and then adds, "Unless you're a rookie." Join BJ and his grandfather on their adventures at Fenway Park where BJ learns about the game of baseball while cheering on their beloved team.
