"Great series"
4 stars"

Angelic layer is an enjoyable series. Character designs are cute and appealing. The storyline is great.

Packaging: The box that comes with it is well crafted and sturdy. The cover design is quite good. The inner cover has profiles of the main characters. Although a booklet insert is preferable, it is still well packed.

Story/Character: The story is summed up quite well in the description on the back of the case. The story seems to be a little childish at first, but it gets better and better. The character designs are quite appealing.

Sound/Music: The English track is 5.1 while the Japanese track only has 2.0. That doesn’t trouble me that much, since both of them are really well done. The music, um… it is quite so so really. I usually listen to the BGM in the anime quite a lot and usually I can easily remember them, but I can’t seem to do that in Angelic Layer… (Maybe I just haven’t watched enough, maybe…) :)

Extra: Nothing really special on the disk. A commentary with the ADV voice actors/actress and some madman propaganda, that is about it. Quite a let down really.

Overall Angelic Layer is quite a great series. CLAMP has done a good job in creating it. I highly recommend it!
