Description

This book gives a complete introduction to the basic tools, materials and techniques need to construct a foundation for a layout of any size or scale. Starting from the traditional solid top baseboard and working through to more advanced designs, step by step guides demonstrate the techniques of assembling one of the most important components of your railway.

Author Biography:

Ian Morton has been modelling for more years than he cares to admit to and has written books on various aspects of model railways, ranging from baseboards to Digital Command Control. He is also a regular contributor to Hornby Magazine. He believes it has never been easier to build a model railway as demonstrated by his 'Shake-the-Box' layout, built from ready to use items, serialised in Hornby Magazine and a similar layout constructed for a DVD.
