Author Biography

Marco Balich began his career by organizing big international concerts for Pink Floyd, U2, Peter Gabriel. His succesful artistic path lead him to explore television, videoclips and any creative territory that involved live sound and vision. Many worldwide shows and ceremonies bear his signature. Today he is an absolute Olympic Ceremony expert, and his know-how is appreciated all over the world: from the 2002 Salt Lake City Flag Handover to the 2006 Winter Olympics Ceremonies in Turin; from the 2012 London Olympics Flag Handover to the 2014 Games organized in Sochi; he will also be the Executive Producer of the 2016 Olympic Ceremonies in Rio de Janeiro. In the Fall of 2014 Balich began working on "on ice" production designs, with the "Intimissimi on Ice Opera Pop" at the Arena di Verona, featuring ice skaters and pop stars in a never-before-seen live show. Lida Castelli has been working alongside Marco Balich as artistic director for his events. In 2014, she was the director of the closing ceremony of the Sochi Paralympic Games. Moreno Gentili is a writer, journalist, photographer, specialized in the "creative curatorship" of several projects and visual concepts connected to company books, photo exhibitions, offices layouts and designs.
