Author Biography

Gwenda Turner was one of New Zealand's most popular children's writers. When she died tragically in February 2001 she left a legacy of wonderful picture books, loved by children all around the world. Gwenda wanted to show New Zealand children in typical everyday settings, wearing ordinary clothes and having fun. She also wrote and illustrated three books for the adult market including Gwenda Turner's Christchurch.
