I purchased this to improve the audio of my videos that I upload to YouTube. I used to just shoot videos from the phone and the sound was a little hollow and distant. To improve that I decided to invest in this microphone and boy does it make a HUGE difference. The audio now sounds so much better, much clearer and more professional. The cord that leads to the phone is really long which is great. At first it didn't work since I connected it directly to the phone. Then I noticed it came with a small adapter (included) which you need to use. It then worked a dream. Yep, I'd recommend this if you are just starting out and want to improve the quality of your videos.
