Author Biography

Richard Chaloner is a former senior lecturer, an experienced INSET tutor, and has co-authored several best-selling health and social care textbooks. He has been a principal examiner in health and social care, and is currently a principal examiner, for major awarding bodies. "b"Paul Stephens"/b" obtained a BSc and a PhD in Sociology at the University of London, and he is now an associate professor at the University of Stavanger in Norway. He is involved in a number of health-related research projects, including 'promoting the will to live among heart patients' and 'shyness and depression among adolescent girls and boys'.
