The colour hue itself is more brown than red. The finish comes out almost semis gloss rather than the matte you’d expect for an undercoat. I was so disappointed I dropped the minis I tested on into some isopropyl alcohol to strip them, but this stuff sticks like no other paint I’ve ever used and I could barely get half of it off. I’ll never buy army painter spray ever again.
Goes on a bit heavy- the “mist” is not as fine or powerful as a Vallejo or even a GW rattle can. Nozzle clogs pretty easily. Good for squads/tabletop quality base coats.
A rich and very deep red colour that will fit perfectly as a basecoat for any red highlights.
As the name suggests the Chaotic Red is a must have for Chaos miniature collectors of any system or as basecoat for futuristic warmachines or monsters. Suggested Quickshade is Dark Tone, but the versatile dark red colour can also stand on its own and be highlighted immediately after drying.
