Antoine (Auteuil), a maitre d’ at an upmarket Parisian brasserie, prevents the suicide of a stranger (Garcia) and attempts to reinvigorate the man's zest for life. But it soon becomes clear that Louis will be forever gripped by a single obsession: Blanche, the love of his life and the woman who drove him to despair. Blanche isn’t interested in Louis, and even worse, she becomes attracted to Antoine. For a principled man like Antoine, it’s a situation of the utmost delicacy - complicated by the fact that Blanche is extremely beautiful!
Featuring the once-in-a-lifetime comic pairing of Daniel Auteuil and Jose Garcia, Pierre Salvadori’s intelligent, sophisticated and very human comedy is a delightful portrait of male friendship developing in the unlikeliest of situations.
