Does the job although the price is a bit steep, being the genuine Apple product. I had previously used 3rd party cables which didn't last long so I can't complain.

Much better than non-Apple cords which seem to have limitations such as shorter lightning stem length requiring removal of iPhone cover to plug in. I have found cheaper generic cords tend to die eventually but my Apple branded ones never fail. Mighty Ape has the cheapest price too.
