Description

Jerry Foster is perhaps best known as one half of the most awarded songwriting team in the history of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) "Foster and Rice". Jerry and his writing partner, Bill Rice were inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Association International Hall of Fame in 1994. In 2007 Jerry was inducted into the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame. Foster and Rice became known as "The Song Factory" for their incredible string of hits and they wrote together for 18 years. Jerry continued writing and recording. He recorded an album which featured the surviving members of the original Elvis Presley Band as well as the original members of the Jordanaires. A single from that album became a number one record in Europe and, as a result of the popularity of that record, Jerry toured Europe with Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Marty Robbins, Kris Kristofferson and other major artists. Jerry has appeared in many music videos and movies as well as singing before live audiences. He has even bigger plans for the future as he continues to fulfill his dreams. This book is the incredible story of Jerry Foster's life, told in his own words.
