Mimi Chapra was born in Cuba and raised in the United States. She is the author of Amelia's Show-and-Tell Fiesta, illustrated by Martha Avil�s. Mimi Chapra writes about the obstacles that all newcomers face when they come to a foreign land. She lives with her husband in Philadelphia. Mimi Chapra naci� en Cuba y se cri� en los Estados Unidos. Es la autora de Amelia y la fiesta de "muestra y cuenta", ilustrada por Martha Avil�s. Mimi Chapra escribe acerca de los obst�culos con los que se enfrentan todos los reci�n llegados a una tierra extranjera. Vive con su esposo en Filadelfia. Martha Avil�s vive con su familia en la Ciudad de M�xico. Este es su primer libro para ni�os publicado en Estados Unidos. Martha Avil�s lives in Mexico City with her family.
