Description

Amanda seems to have it all, beauty, brains, confidence and high goals. When a handsome rich Senator's son sweeps her off her feet and asks her to marry him she is at first reluctant but his charm and love for her wins her over. Their lives are very different but despite some misgivings by her family they plan their wedding and life together. Little did she know that she would end up being caught between two worlds of intrigue and become a pawn! Set in South East Florida during the 'Bay of Pigs' invasion and 'The Cuban Missile Crisis' the reader will get caught up in the intrigue and left wondering at the end who is right and who is wrong and did Amanda make the right choice?...

Author Biography:

Wife, mother of three, grandmother of 9, good friend to many and best friend to many of God's creatures great and small. Born at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL, went to St. Juliana's Catholic grade school, Cardinal Newman Catholic high school, received an AA degree in education from the then PBJC in Lake Worth, FL and BA degree in secondary math education from the University of Central FL in Orlando, FL. Worked for the SSA while first husband went to school and when we moved to TX taught at Cedar Hill high for 2 years in Cedar Hill, TX, then became a Texas real estate broker and successfully worked at this for 25 years. After 9/11 wanted to give back and went back into teaching at Irving high school for 1 year in Irving, TX and Marcus high school for 1 year in Lewisville, TX. Retired to focus on this book in 2008 when I married my sweet husband, Donald Earl Camp on 8-8-2008....
