All Blacks Rugby Challenge reviews

Have been playing all day and its been well worth the wait. Controls were easy to pick up and logical – very similar to Jonah Lomu rugby. Graphics magnificent, game play fluid. All your favorite NZ players are accurately portrayed and ITM and Super 15 rugby and interesting addition.

Only draw back so far has been the inability to set the back line, but only a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things

I was pretty disappointed with this game after waiting a long time between rugby games. The youtube clips made it look solid. But it is just too simple, there's no back set pieces of the scrum or line-out, you cant get the 1st five to go into the pocket. Also offloading is extremely easy. Some good things are that there is itm cup and super rugby

Really good game. Finally a game coming out for Rugby after all these years. It's great to see all the domestic competitions represented. To be fair the game takes a while to get used to but after that definitely a game for rugby fans and newcomers. With all the competitions and career mode it also has a great deal of longevity.

This game is far superior to the RWC 2011 game. While it still has it's imperfections it is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. Great to see that a NZ made game got the licensing to the mighty All Blacks!

Would happily recommend this to anyone wanting a Rugby game for Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.

I couldnt wait to get Rugby Challenge when it came I played it and the graphics were great but the game play wasn't that good, It was little things in the game that I was disappointed with.

I got this game for my birthday I played it and I liked it but after a few hours of playing it I found it boring.

This is a well made game, much more preferred than Rugby World Cup 2011, great graphics, gameplay, and minor details, it truly feel's like a rugby experience.

The only other rugby game I ever loved was Jonah Lomo on PS1! AB Rugby Challenge carried on with the same winning combination and added the latest technology …STUNNING!

Licensing for more teams would've been nice, otherwise a must have for rugby fans!

Fun game, good to play a next Gen rugby game, only dissapointing thing is when playing super rugby, the South African teams are made up as they did not have licencing to use the real teams names. Overall worth buying if you are a fan of rugby.

It should have been called SBW's Rugby Challenge. It has all the attractive bells and whistles, has the potential to be outstanding and stand among the very best sports games but like SBW it lacks the gameplay to make it stand out. It's fun, it pops in most of the places it should, but it's not as Great as could of been.

This is a great first up rugb game from Sidhe. Gameplay is fast flowing and numerous game modes will make this game enjoyed for a long time. Although there are a few flaws in the game the positives greatly outweigh the negatives and hoepfully this will be a great first game in a long line of rugby games from sidhe

Needs set moves and pick and go's to name a couple. Offloads are a bit excessive

As an avid rugby supporter, this game had a lot to live up to as I have waited since Xbox360 came out for a rugby game. But live up to it is exactly what this did. The gameplay is quite tough to learn but if you nkow rugby, it makes sense pretty quickly. The graphics are amazing and the customisations of players and teams makes this game even better.

The online play is good and I really like how it not only rewards finishing a game, but it punishes people that quit games midway through.

This really is a must have for a sports gamer or just a rugby fan.

I'd been wondering what to get my son for his birthday that would leave him smiling for days on end and this appears to have done the job. He loves the game of Rugby, is All Blacks mad and this is something he's gonna play over and over again for years. Great job Sidhe!

For rugby fans this is the best of the two rugby games on the market and it is a pretty good attempt to replicate the game we love. For those that are patient and have the time to learn how the game works there is a lot of fun and some great reward as the it has a larger learning curve than expected. At times the game can become frustrating as the passing and the ai can sometimes leave you with that feeling, ‘that doesn't happen in real games’ but all in all there are some moments of share brilliance. This is a great first attempt of a Rugby sim by sidhe and if you are a rugby fan and love the game this is definately a good buy. 7.5/10

I have just brought Rugby world cup 2011 and I asked the guy in the shop to tell me the best rugby game. He told me he was sure the real aussie names and allblacks would be there what a downer. I will not even play it taking back tomorrow but I will not buy wallaby challenge as its called in australia as they will not have the world cup or the other international teams. What a bummer and a great way to wreck what should have been a stellar year for rugby gaming to go with the world cup. With rugby fighting other codes it will be dead in australia in 20 years if they stop looking after the fans. I will now go back to playing afl live at least they have all the teams and names and appearances and is a great game. I think I will swap this one for NRL live and leave the rugby for 4 years till hopefully they get there act together.

Pretty easy to pick up and get into but is a bit simplistic compared to other sports titles i.e. PES/FIFA, especially in career/manager options. Do not know about the longevity of playing this game in single player mode but lots of fun playing with my two kids (9 & 11) on this game.

I missed the rugby games on console since Rugby '05 or something! Great Game!

Good game overall. Different to your usual EA rugby union games. More similar to the old NRL games on PS2 & Xbox. ITM Cup is great! Looking forward to any updates.

This is the rugby game u have been waiting for. I cant stop playing it due to the fast fluid gameplay and other comps have been added to make more of a range. Great to see the Ranfurly Shield added to the ITM Cup tourny to make the comp more competitive. Great to see most of the players look like the real people and uniforms are spot on. Only wee let down is u cant use set plays to break the opposition defence. Overall best rugby game out there

I have had Rugby Challenge for a while now and it has been Favorited among my mates. It is great to have a little competition with your mates and I Love the character creator. -Four Star
