From what I've read so far, it seems quite comprehensive. Includes a history of the hedge funds, its origins and its raison d'etre. Though at times it reads like a defence against all the negative publicity that Hedge funds attract, it is quite thorough in establishing how it is different from mutual funds. Also includes an introduction to the various strategies that Hedge funds use. Overall a recommended intorduction.

Description

This guide takes the reader through all the facets of hedge fund investing, from a basic explanation of hedge funds to essential strategies. It also explains the key issues surrounding hedge funds, including volatility, risk, and leverage. By providing a level-headed view of hedge fund investing, it debunks many of the myths that have surrounded hedge fund investing: that it is only for high-net worth individuals; that it is fraught with danger; and that hedge funds are merely unregulated investment funds that make aggressive leveraged bets in global financial and commodity markets.
