Description

Collection of episodes from Alfred Hitcock's TV series on DVD.

The complete collection of the Hitchcock directed episodes from his ground-breaking television series.

We all know Alfred Hitchcock's incredible, genre-defining films. They have been celebrated and studied for decades as a blueprint on how to do suspense. But Hitch had another medium for entertaining audiences – television. His long-running, ground-breaking series ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS and its follow up, THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR, were not only voted by Time Magazine as part of the Top 100 TV Shows of All Time, but influenced television story-telling ever since and showcased a top roster of acting talent, many in the fledgling years of their profession.

Although heavily involved in his television series and opening/closing each story every week, Hitchcock personally directed just 18 episodes across its ten year run, many of which are considered to be the series’ finest moments. ALFRED HITCHCOCK DIRECTS brings together all of these classic stories in a three disc set for the first time.

As an irresistible bonus, we’ve included Hitchcock’s sole directing foray into colour television – an episode from the 1959–60 anthology series FORD STARTIME. Starring Vera Miles and George Peppard, “Incident at a Corner” was filmed a week after PSYCHO and clearly demonstrates why Hitch was truly the master of story-telling.

Join Robert Redford, Vincent Price, Joseph Cotton, Barbara Bel Geddes, Claude Rains, Keenan Wynn, Patrick Macnee and many more in over eight hours in this ‘master-class’ collection of Hitchcock magic.

Contains the following 17 episodes.
