Author Biography:

Scott Silknitter is the founder of R.O.S. Therapy Systems. Starting with a simple backyard project to help his mother and father with his father's Parkinson's disease and dementia, Scott has dedicated his life to improving the quality of life for all seniors (and their caregivers) through activities and education. Robert Brennan, RN, NHA, MS, CDP, is a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator with over 35 years of experience in long-term care. He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and is Credentialed in Montessori-Based Dementia Programming (MBDP). Robert was responsible for the development of an Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) "Best of the Best" award-winning program for care of individuals with dementia using MBDP. He currently provides education on dementia and long-term regulatory topics. Vanessa Emm, BA, ACC/EDU, AC-BC, CDP, is a Certified Activity Consultant and Educator with additional certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. With over 15 years of experience, Vanessa's background is in Gerontology with an emphasis in biology, research, and grant writing. Vanessa currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Association of Activity Professionals.
