"Cleared for takeoff!"
5 stars"

Its been a moment since we last got to take the skies of the Strangereal universe, and thankfully Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown is a fantastic example!

The planes are gorgeous, the music fantastic and on point, the right mix of difficulty amongst other things. However not everything is smiles and light, the less important parts (like the ground and assorted vehicles) are pretty plain, the terrain not looking too good when you're rocketing along at mach 2 just above the trees but you're not here to look at the ground! You're here to shoot down other planes, and you'll do just that, from the scorching deserts to a benighted city and more. So if you're a fan of arcade style flight sims, this is a great addition. See you in the skies!

"AMAZING!!"
5 stars"

The game is amazing, exciting and with its arcadey flying and dogfighting gameplay you will Love it or hate it!!
I found the Story to be a little short but enjoyable, if you have VR, it may or may not make you sick, depends if u have an iron Stomach. The Dogfighting in Ace Combat 7 is surprisingly complex. But that makes it great! The weather System is Extraordinary, you plane will ice up if you fly at high speed though clouds, rain makes Vision at high speed somewhat hard and lightning can and will hit your plane and scramble your electronics! If you loved the Past 6 Installments, or even 1 of the 6, this game is for you!

"A perfect sequel!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

As someone who played all the Ace Combat games from the start I think this is a perfect addition to the francise. It plays the same as previous Ace Combats (with the exception of the worst Ace Combat, Assualt Horrizon). The story was good, not Squadron Leader good, but still good. The new tree system for Aircraft and upgrades is a great addition. The graphics are great but what really takes the cake is the weather and how it plays it's part. Then there's the VR. Its increadible and even though its only 3 missions I still would have paid the RRP just for that! If you're a fan of the francise it is definitely worth the spend and it was most definitely worth the wait!

"A welcome return to the roots of the series"

I personally, couldn't be happier with the final outcome of AC7:SU. The planes all have a unique weight and feel to them, the internal cockpit views are accurate, the exteriors are perfectly detailed. It's all good. There's plenty of call back to the previous games (excluding assault horizon thankfully) and more of the great over the top arcade dogfighting that made ace combat a hit series in the first place. If you enjoyed ace combat 4 or 5 you will love this game. VR is also one of the most immersive experiences I've had with PSVR thus far.
