Description

Excerpt from A Treatise on Diseases of the Skin: With Special Reference to Their Diagnosis and Treatment, Including an Analysis of 11, 000 Consecutive Cases In my endeavor to keep the book within reasonable limits, I have abstained from entering upon the structure of the skin in a state of health, which can be studied in most works on anatomy, and, partly for the same reason, I have in many instances touched but lightly upon the anatomical lesions, while fully discussing them in those cases in which their study has yielded practical results. But, with all its imperfections, I would fain hope that it will, in some measure at least, supply to the student and to the practitioner a reliable guide to the diagnosis and treatment of a most important branch of medicine.
