In response to Richard Dawson's need to get away from the rigors of Washington and the pressures of its political demands, a temporary assignment, based in Hong Kong, was arranged, not only to give him a much needed vacation, but time to reevaluate his needs and to recharge his desire to return and continue fighting for the rights of farmers and ranchers who want little more than to keep their land out of the grasp of greedy corporations.
