Description

Teacher's Handbook on Classroom Assessment is designed to help new and veteran teachers construct quality classroom assessments that will enhance student learning and achievement. It gives teachers a thorough grounding in the classroom assessment cycle, including step--by--step instruction in designing assessment instruments to measure student performance against mandated educational standards. In addition, theoretical perspectives are addressed as well as issues of high stakes testing, teacher attitudes, and other factors influencing the assessment climate. The book also offers guidance on modifying instructional and motivational practices in response to assessment findings.
