Description

I grew up in a small town in Georgia. Sylvania, Ga. It's a town that no one ever really heard of unless you were from Savannah or any of the other neighboring cities. I was the only girl of 4 boys. My mother and I took care of the house chores while my brothers did some of the field work. Every night my mom would have all kinds of people come over to fry fish and listen to music on my mom's old fashioned radio that she got from one of the people she cleaned for. Times seemed to be great then. I grew up around a lot of people who were very religious. They always seemed to talk about spirits and demons. Some of them even talked about having moments where they saw people walking down the street and then they suddenly vanished into thin air. Sylvania was nothing like Savannah, Georgia. However, people always seemed to get the 2 cities confused. Sylvania was the deep country and Savannah was a little more advanced then we were. The one thing that both cities seemed to have in common was the abundance of strange things happening and strange people being seen and disappearing out of thin air. It was always said that Sylvania as well as Savannah, Ga was the vortex of the spirit world. Yes...Sylvania was alive with the energy of the dead and it didn't have any preference as to who knew it. The stories of the dead roaming the city streets and dirt roads was the rumor all throughout our little town. I, for one, was not a believer of such things. Although I was and am still very religious, I didn't believe in the dead roaming the earth to find souls to possess. However, in the spring of 1966 my world begin to change and my doubt about spirits and demons began to reveal a truth that I would never forget. This is a true story about my life and my encounter with the spirit world. Although the events in this story may seem to sound fictitious, these are in fact very real scenarios as they happened to me. This is my Truth. This is my life. This is my story.
