"A masterpiece on ethical leadership"
5 stars"

Note, this book is NOT about bashing Trump or mudslinging! Those with preconceived notions that Comey is attacking Trump will be sorely disappointed. Comey does not mention Trump until page 211 of 278. ‘A Higher Loyalty’ is about Comey's experiences throughout life that have shaped his morals and ethical leadership in the pursuit of bringing forward the truth and making decisions the right way.

This book was written by a superb leader with morals and compassion that is missing in major areas of the US government. What has been publicized as a insiders look into the Russia Investigation is actually a book reflecting strong leaders and their influences. This book is about making decisions while keeping your dignity intact and former FBI director, James Comey retells his experiences throughout his life that have shaped his moral and ethical decision making. He highlights key moments such as investigating and prosecuting the mob, building a case and indicting Martha Stewart in her insider trading and lying to the Feds, dealing with an armed burglar as a teenager and more recent events such as the Clinton investigation and meeting Trump.

This is a brilliant book and very difficult to put down. I recommend this book, no matter your political views or what you've heard or read in the media as Comey sheds light on the truth behind many unpopular decisions and moments in recent US political history. 10/10.

"A easy, verging on compulsive, read on US politics from "Jim's""
4 stars"

Not sure why I was drawn to this book, possibly because I just wanted an alternate input on what was going during Trump's transition into the US presidency and why would he feel the need to fire the then FBI Director. This book covers that at the end, but not before providing an easy-speak narrative of Jim Comey's history that led him from a possible career in medicine into law, government service, deputy attorney general, and ultimately the FBI directorship (I think I got all that right). Wound in with the impacts on himself and family life it makes for a compulsive read (from about half way in to be precise!)

Description

In his forthcoming book, former FBI director James Comey shares his never before-told experiences from some of the highest-stakes situations of his career in the past two decades of American government, exploring what good, ethical leadership looks like, and how it drives sound decisions. His journey provides an unprecedented entry into the corridors of power, and a remarkable lesson in what makes an effective leader.

This book will cover all of the most controversial periods of Comey’s time as FBI Director including the Hilary Clinton email scandal, Trump’s claims of wire tapping by the Obama administration, and possible links between Russia and Trump’s election campaign.

He will also outline his pillars for good, ethical leadership and why it is important.

A true insiders account – has the potential to be as explosive as Fire and Fury.
