It might have been issued a year or more ago, had I not wished to prefix my outline of grammar. The copy of the last pages of the Glossary proper was sent to the printer on Sept. 8, 1890, but the proofs had still to be returned, and the latin-northumbrian Index, which I could not help thinking would be useful in various ways, to be added.
