Or the third year work, the exercises can be varied by changing singu lars to plurals, plurals to singulars, questions to statements, statements to questions, direct to indirect discourse, etc. The supplement contains tables of the inflections and classi fied lists of nouns. Each vocabulary will be found complete in itself, without the necessity of looking up forms elsewhere. The inflection of the nouns is indicated and the principal parts of all the verbs are given, whether strong or weak, inseparable or sep arable. The long vowels are marked long and the accent of doubtful words is indicated. The index is made full, to afford easy access to the contents of the book. The references through out the book are to page and section, or to page and footnote, and should be so read. For example, 49, 3, should be read forty-nine, three; and 491 should be read forty-nine, footnote one. This system of reference will be found convenient and a great saver of time, for page and section are found far more quickly than sections numbered consecutively.
